At WorldOver, we do not prepare learners for life with theoretical knowledge. We use academic skills and content to create real-world opportunities for learners to generate new knowledge and apply their learning to bettering their communities. Using a place-based model of project-based learning, learners have the opportunity to embody the WorldOver Learner Profile and make a difference in their community through eight-week personal projects. Students will find they become deeply engaged and empowered through this process, and learning will become fun and easy. This is not “one more school thing” to complete; rather, this is the bridge that ties in life outside of traditional school to the formal academic curriculum.
