Description

This project-based 5th-grade science course will align with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and focus on developing students’ scientific inquiry and investigation skills. Through hands-on, project-based learning experiences, students will explore topics such as the structure and function of living systems, the behavior of waves and light, and the earth’s systems and history. They will learn to ask questions, make observations, and draw conclusions based on evidence. Projects will be designed to promote creativity and encourage students to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems, such as designing a water filtration system. Through this course, students will develop a deep understanding of the natural world and the interconnectedness of its systems, setting them up for future success in Science and beyond.
