Description
This project-based 5th-grade math course will align with the Common Core Standards and focus on developing students’ advanced math skills. Through hands-on, project-based learning experiences, students will deepen their understanding of fractions, decimals, percentages, geometry, and algebraic thinking. They will learn to apply math concepts to real-world problems, using critical thinking and communication skills to work collaboratively with their peers. Projects will be designed to promote creativity and encourage students to develop innovative solutions to complex problems, such as designing a playground or planning a budget for a trip. Through this course, students will become confident and proficient in their math skills, setting them up for future success in the subject and beyond.
