Description

This project-based 6th-grade science course will align with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and focus on developing students’ scientific inquiry and investigation skills. Through hands-on, project-based learning experiences, students will explore topics such as the structure and properties of matter, the flow of energy through ecosystems, and the earth’s dynamic surface processes. They will learn to ask questions, make observations, and draw conclusions based on evidence. Projects will be designed to promote creativity and encourage students to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems, such as designing a device to convert renewable energy sources into electricity. Through this course, students will develop a deep understanding of the natural world and its interplay of systems, setting them up for future success in science and beyond.
