Description

This project-based high school government course is designed to help students understand the fundamentals of the American political system and how it operates. Through hands-on projects, students will explore the different branches of government, the rights and responsibilities of citizens, and the ways in which public policy is shaped and implemented. Projects might include creating a mock election campaign, conducting a policy research project, or participating in a model United Nations simulation. Through these projects, students will develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills, as well as an understanding of how government functions in a democratic society. By the end of the course, students will have a deeper appreciation for the importance of civic engagement and the role they can play in shaping their communities and country.
