Description

This project-based high school Earth Science course will align with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and focus on the study of the Earth’s dynamic systems and processes. Through hands-on, project-based learning experiences, students will explore topics such as the rock cycle, plate tectonics, climate change, and the water cycle. They will learn to ask questions, make observations, and draw conclusions based on evidence. Projects will be designed to promote creativity and encourage students to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems, such as developing a plan to reduce the impact of natural disasters on human populations. Through this course, students will develop a deep understanding of the complex interactions between the Earth’s systems, setting them up for future success in science and beyond.
