Description

This project-based 10th-grade language arts course will build on students’ skills from previous years while preparing them for college and career readiness. The course will align with the Common Core Standards and focus on developing students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Students will analyze a variety of texts, including literature, nonfiction, and media, and learn to synthesize information from multiple sources. They will also develop their writing skills by composing essays, research papers, and other types of writing that require a deep understanding of the subject matter. In addition to traditional writing assignments, students will engage in projects that require creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. They will learn to present their ideas in a variety of formats, including visual and digital presentations. Through this course, students will develop the skills they need to succeed in college, career, and beyond.
