Course Description

Start your child's learning journey with joy, discovery, and meaningful connection! Play & Learn Together is a 12-week online course designed for parents and their preschool or kindergarten-aged children to explore hands-on, project-based learning that builds essential school readiness skills through play, creativity, and exploration.

Meeting twice a week, each interactive session is filled with fun, purposeful activities that nurture your child's natural curiosity while helping them develop foundational academic and life skills. Guided by an experienced early childhood educator, families will explore themes across key areas of learning:

• Early Literacy – Storytelling, letter sounds, and vocabulary through songs, books, and games
• Math Foundations – Sorting, counting, patterns, and shapes through real-life projects
• Science Exploration – Hands-on discovery, simple experiments, and nature investigations
• Social Studies – Understanding community, family, and the world through stories and play

Parents will receive easy-to-follow instructions and support materials to continue activities at home. Each project is designed to spark conversation, build fine motor and cognitive skills, and strengthen the parent-child bond while preparing young learners for the routines and expectations of school.

Whether you're painting letters with shaving cream, building a shape city from cardboard, or exploring the weather with a homemade observation chart, this course will turn everyday moments into lasting learning experiences.

Prerequisites

No formal prerequisites required. This course is designed for preschool and kindergarten-aged children (ages 3-6) accompanied by a parent or caregiver. The course welcomes families at all stages of their learning journey, whether this is your child's first structured learning experience or they are already familiar with basic concepts. The most important requirement is enthusiasm for learning and playing together!
