Taja Butler is a teacher in Houston, TX. She has taught a variety of subjects including Social Studies, Speech, and College Readiness.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Mississippi State University and her Master of Education in Student Development and Leadership from Angelo State University. She has served as an instructional coach, lead mentor teacher, and taught on the collegiate level. 

 

Taja’s strong belief in education is fundamental to the growth and success for future generations propelled her to become an educator. She believes that all students can learn from the past to contribute to the world around them, thus making her a true history enthusiast. Additionally, she’s truly passionate about preparing students with personalized skills to be successful for college and life. Taja volunteers much of her time to educational nonprofit organizations to help create equitable educational experiences for all students.
