Course Facilitator(s)

Learners will investigate the adaptive traits that increase a species survival and apply that knowledge when designing and creating a display for a natural history museum.

Course Description

Why do animals look the way they do? Have they always looked that way? In this course, learners will design and create a display for a natural history museum that communicates a particular species’ narrative through time. Learners will investigate which traits increased the probability of its survival by researching fossils. Other topics included in the exploration of their species are geologic time, scientific notation, isotope dating, probability, exponents, and the process of natural selection.
