Course Description

Part 1
Learners will discover that division works with base-ten numerals and properties of operations. Through practice and review, learners will master fluency with multi-digit addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. They will use decimals, decimal notation, and properties of operations to add and subtract decimals to the hundredths and compute products and quotients of decimals to the hundredths. Learners will be able to make reasonable estimates.

Part 2
Learners will recognize volume as an attribute of three-dimensional space, which can be measured by finding the total number of same-size units required to fill the space without gaps or overlaps. They will estimate and measure the volume of shapes, construct 3-dimensional shapes, and be able to solve real-world problems by measuring and calculating volume.
