Course Description

Part 1: 3D Animation with Alice
Alice is an innovative block-based programming environment that makes it easy to create animations, build interactive narratives, or program simple games in 3D. Unlike many of the puzzle-based coding applications, Alice motivates learning through creative exploration. Alice is designed to teach logical and computational thinking skills, fundamental principles of programming, and be a first exposure to object-oriented programming. Part 1 goes over how to create a world and make objects move.

Part 2: 3D Animation with Alice
The second half of this course takes students up a notch as they learn more complex methods to make avatars move, talk, jump, and fly! Learners will discover how to make multiple avatars dance in sync, add music and sound effects to make animations look professional, and take an animation video from inside a 3D animated world.
