Description

This project-based 6th-grade math course will align with the Common Core Standards and focus on developing students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills through engaging and challenging projects. Students will deepen their understanding of ratios, proportions, percents, expressions, equations, and geometry. They will learn to apply math concepts to real-world problems, using critical thinking and communication skills to work collaboratively with their peers. Projects will be designed to promote creativity and encourage students to develop innovative solutions to complex problems, such as designing a city or planning a fundraising event. Through this course, students will become confident and proficient in their math skills, setting them up for future success in the subject and beyond.

Basic Skills Handbook
Pocket or online calculator, ruler, protractor, compass, graph paper, spiral notebook with lined paper or composition book
