Description

In this project-based 9th-grade language arts course, students will develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through engaging and challenging projects that align with the Common Core Standards. Throughout the course, students will analyze a variety of texts, including literature, nonfiction, and media, to deepen their understanding of different genres and develop their critical thinking skills. They will also learn to write effectively, use evidence to support their arguments and communicate their ideas clearly and persuasively. Projects will be designed to build collaborative skills and foster creativity, allowing students to express their ideas in a range of media, from essays and speeches to visual and digital presentations. Through this course, students will become confident and capable communicators, able to analyze complex texts and articulate their ideas with clarity and precision.
