Description

This project-based 11th-grade English language arts course is designed to align with Common Core Standards and challenge students to engage with complex texts, think critically, and develop strong writing and communication skills. Throughout the course, students will explore a range of literary genres, including non-fiction, poetry, drama, and fiction, and analyze how language and literary elements contribute to meaning. They will also develop their writing skills through various projects, such as research papers, literary analysis essays, and argumentative writing. In addition to honing their writing skills, students will also practice effective communication through class discussions, group projects, and oral presentations. By the end of the course, students will have strengthened their ability to analyze complex texts, write effectively and persuasively, and communicate ideas with clarity and confidence, preparing them for success in college and beyond.
