Live Virtual vs Asynchronous

Comparison of Live Virtual Courses & Asynchronous Courses Live Virtual Courses Asynchronous Courses
WorldOver Facilitators teach and guide learners through interactive and collaborative activities during live class sessions. Facilitators grade learners’ work.
Learners complete lessons and assignments with parental support. Parents routinely grade assignments (answer keys provided). WorldOver Facilitators grade designated assignments.
Live classes are scheduled twice per week for one hour each time.
Learners have some flexibility to complete work (watch videos, study course materials, complete assignments).
Learners have time in live sessions to ask questions, get help on assignments, collaborate with peers, and work together on group projects.
Learners conduct themselves with the same level of respect that they would in an in-person setting (quiet atmosphere free of distractions, camera on for interactions, no eating during class, etc.).
Parents can enroll their child to meet with WorldOver tutors who can support the asynchronous or live experiences.
It is recommended that learners enroll in both live and asynchronous courses for optimal learning.
